As the world's largest private education company and the first overseas English training company to enter China 15 years ago, English First (EF) believes China is its fastest growing and largest market after North America.

The company also moved its worldwide English First headquarters to Shanghai from Hong Kong last year to better serve the needs of the local market.

Acording to Jacob Toren, worldwide president of English First Kids, China is EF's single most important market. He recently discussed the company's unique challenges in teaching Chinese students English and the language training market in China with China Daily reporter Qian Yanfeng.
