Taiwan lawyers get nod

Taiwan residents will be allowed to enter the legal profession on the mainland, with more than 30 having passed the annual judicial exam, an official said yesterday.

Fan Liqing, spokeswoman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said relevant departments are discussing necessary regulations, which will be "released at an appropriate time". Also, the two pandas that the mainland will send to Taiwan are likely to leave next month, she said.
