D'Arcy admits punch-up blame

SYDNEY: Australian swimmer Nick D'Arcy has pleaded guilty to a charge of assault which cost him his place at this year's Beijing Olympics, local media reported on Tuesday.

D'Arcy's lawyer Jack Leitner entered the plea on his client's behalf at a Sydney court on Tuesday following an incident involving former swimmer Simon Cowley at a nightclub in March.
