Hotel fire claims 8 lives
Eight people were killed and 16 injured when a fire broke out in a hotel, engulfing all its seven stories in Luliang, Shanxi province, on Saturday.
Rescuers found seven dead bodies at the site and one of the 17 people admitted to hospital died later, a local government spokesman said.
