Young artist Sun Chu chooses to communicate with the world through trendy graphic designs and traditional flower-and-bird ink paintings.

While many of his contemporaries are either embracing Western art genres and concepts or copying blindly the old ink masters, "I am instead trying to find new possibilities of the century-old but still charming genre of ink painting," said Sun, chief designer of a visual arts magazine in Beijing.

Sun's ink solo exhibition at Coral and Feather Gallery shows how far this ambitious artist has gone in his artistic pursuits.
