Bianyifang closes old branch

The 600-year-old Peking roast duck Bianyifang closed its Hademen Hotel store on Nov 15. The restaurant will be renovated and re-opened in three years times as a five-star restaurant. Company heads and top chefs held a ceremony on Saturday to seal the roasting stoves. One of the stoves will be moved to a museum at another branch. Bianyifang has seven other branches in Beijing, but Hademen branch comprises 50 percent of the group's revenue.
