Rail line loan
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said it will lend China $300 million to help build a railway line to boost growth in the underdeveloped western region of the country. The 820-km line will be the first rail link from Lanzhou city in northwestern Gansu province, passing through Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces, to Chongqing, a key manufacturing hub and major exporter in the southwest.
