Call for more trees

Authorities in urban areas should plant more trees to help improve air quality, Jia Zhibang, director of the State Forestry Administration, said yesterday at the 5th China Urban Forest Forum in Guangzhou.

More than 610 mayors and their representatives, experts and scholars from around the world, and local consulate-generals attended the forum, which opened yesterday.
