Sentences upheld

The Yunnan High People's Court on Tuesday upheld the sentences handed down by the Kunming intermediate people's court to two men found guilty of running casinos in Myanmar, the Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday.

At the first trial, Tan Zhiwei was given eight years' jail and a 20 million yuan ($2.9 million), while his brother, Tan Zhiman, was given five years' jail and a 5 million yuan.
