Under such circumstances, analysts stress the risks involved in cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the financial sector and as Chinese banks keep themselves from venturing abroad at this time.
Mark Spelman, global head of strategy at consulting firm Accenture, said M&A activities beyond the financial sector are active as a lot of companies, especially commodity companies that have strong cash flow, are looking to expand.
