Chen lands in hospital
Jailed former Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian was resting in a hospital yesterday after being admitted with an irregular heartbeat. He has been staging a hunger strike to protest his arrest on suspicion of corruption.
After visiting Chen, his lawyer said the former leader rejected new pleas by family members to end his fast.
