Palin mulls Senate post
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, said on Wednesday that she would consider serving in the Senate if she had the opportunity and Alaskans wanted her to take the job.
The state's senior senator, convicted felon Ted Stevens, Republican, fell narrowly behind as the count resumed in his re-election bid.
