Police chief suspended
A deputy police chief in a sub-bureau of Shenmu county has been suspended from his post for his involvement in the collection of 2.19 million yuan ($320,000) in donations from local mines, the Party's county committee said yesterday.
Wei Xiaomin told private mine owners to make contributions to social security at a conference on Saturday. More than 60 owners donated 2.19 million yuan.
