US nuke sub visit protested
Japan protested to the United States yesterday after a US nuclear-powered submarine approached the southern island of Okinawa without required prior notice, a Japanese foreign ministry spokesman said.
Deputy Press Secretary Yasuhisa Kawamura also said Japan had asked the United States to prevent a reoccurance of the incident.
