Maddux gets 18th Gold Glove
NEW YORK: Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Greg Maddux has won a record 18th Gold Glove, extending his lead over Jim Kaat and Brooks Robinson in the all-time list for fielding prowess, the league announced on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old Maddux, an eight-times all-star, has earned 18 of the last 19 awards as the top fielding pitcher in the National League.
