Timothy Franz Geithner: Born on Aug 18, 1961, he is the 9th president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Geithner was born in New York City. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in government and Asian studies in 1983, and from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies with an MA in International Economics and East Asian Studies in 1985. Geithner has also studied at International School Bangkok, Thailand.

He has studied Japanese and Chinese and has lived in East Africa, India, Thailand, China, and Japan.
