Russian jailed

A Russian man has been jailed for four months for a traffic violation and attacking a policeman, the Shanghai No 1 intermediate people's court said yesterday.

On Aug 1, Vladimir Yurkuns, 30, an employee of a foreign bank in Shanghai, drove his moped in Pudong, where such vehicles are banned. When a traffic policeman tried to stop Yurkuns from fleeing, he was attacked. Ling received ankle and arm injuries.
