Victims galvanized into action

The Associated Office of the NGO Relief Campaign closed its doors in Sichuan as soon as work in the quake zone shifted from rescue to recovery.

This paved the way for the founding of the NGO Disaster Preparedness Center (NGODPC), an independent aid agency that has since June 1 developed an innovative approach to rebuilding the area.

NGODPC cultivates opportunities for both the grassroots and the mighty oaks of the development sector to branch out in the quake zone.
