Shanghai stocks end worst month since '95

China's stocks fell on Friday, capping the worst month for the Shanghai Composite Index in more than 13 years, after a spate of companies reported lower profit.

Bank of Communications declined 4.2 percent after third-quarter profit grew at less than half the pace of three months earlier.

Shanghai Airlines Co dropped 6.2 percent after posting its biggest-ever quarterly loss. Jiangxi Copper Co retreated 3.9 percent as the price of the metal slumped by the daily 5 percent limit in Shanghai.
