Official hailed for pulling village out of poverty
Villagers have hailed a deputy county-level official for improving their lot in Nanyang, Henan province, over the past three years.
Li Qiang requested he be appointed head of Zhangdian village after realizing his hometown was still mired in poverty in 2005.
