Sturdy Harbin seniors riding south for the winter

Instead of enduring a rather bitterly cold Northeastern winter, 20 senior citizens have left Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province, bound for Sanya in South China's Hainan province, riding bicycles.

"In this way, we will not only enjoy a warmer winter in the South with less expenses until next spring but travel around many places on our way," the oldest member of the group, 68-year-old bicyclist Meng Aijiao said.
