Glucose shots stopped

Glucose injections produced by a Zhejiang firm are suspected of causing fever in 12 children in Fuzhou, Fujian province, China Daily learned yesterday. The Fuzhou health bureau has suspended the sale of the shots.

Several children needed hospital treatment after receiving injections of the drug on Wednesday. An investigation is under way, the bureau said.
