Official charged in art heist
Israel is no stranger to political scandal. But rarely does the suspected wrongdoing involve an art heist.
The deputy mayor of Safed has been charged with stealing 23 paintings. They're worth tens of millions of dollars, and some were painted by greats like Manet, Delacroix and Cezanne.
