Solvay committed to adventure of a lifetime

The goal is for Solar Impulse to embark on a world tour (with five stopovers, one in China) in a solar aircraft by 2011.
This manned plane will be powered only by solar energy. Using the sun to fly day and night (thanks to batteries) Solar Impulse harnesses clean, renewable energy.
It is more than just a plane by virtue of its conservation credentials.
