In Zhengzhou, Henan province, the 100-year-old steel bridge over the Yellow River has been a witness to the growing partnership between Cockerill Maintenance and Ingenierie (CMI) Group and China.
Britain's John Cockerill, the founder of CMI, was involved in laying China's first railroad line in 1896 and in 1903, he designed and built China's first steel bridge over the Yellow River in Zhengzhou.
Now CMI, the Belgian industrial supplier of equipment and one of the leading actors in energy, defense and industry, is one of the world's top three suppliers of heat recovery steam generators for combined cycle power stations.
