BeatBox was developed by African Americans in the 1970s as an inventive method of imitating musical instruments vocally.
Guangzhou's BeatBox club, composed of six members, was founded two years ago. This time it has invited a famous local dance team, a band and some singers to join a performance mixing hip hop, rock, street dance and rap.

CONCERTS
Canadian rock and blues band Black Cat Bone is staging a mini-concert in Guangzhou following its successful performance in Beijing. The band produces compelling party music, mixing traditional blues with R&B, funk, and rock. Its long-awaited debut album Drinkin Alone will be released next month and the concert will feature some of its tracks.

For Musical Dreams - Mahler Series Symphonic Concert IV, the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra will continue its exploration of Mahler's symphonic works in a chamber music version. While Symphony No 3 revealed the grandness of nature, Symphony No 4 expresses Mahler's yearning for the heavens.

Exhibition
The Third Guangzhou Triennial at the Guangdong Museum of Art has less than two weeks to run and contains works by 178 artists from more than 40 countries and regions. The exhibits are divided into four groups: Projects in Progress, Thinking Room, Free Radicals and Independent Projects.
