Beijing is the world's most equitable city, a UN report has said.

Produced by the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-Habitat) and published in London on Wednesday, the document said Beijing provides the most equal status of life and social harmony of any city in the world, China Radio International (CRI) reported yesterday.

The report praised the efforts of the government over the past 15 years to develop China's economy and improve living standards.
