4 members of male sex ring jailed

Four members of a male prostitution ring were sentenced to between 18 months and five-and-a-half years in prison on Wednesday.

They were found guilty on various charges of organizing prostitution, aiding and abetting prostitution, and transmitting a sexual disease by a court in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, the Legal Daily reported yesterday.

The case hinged on the legal definition of "prostitution", and whether it could be committed by a man in the country, the report said.
