The Danish government will spend 14 million euro to establish a Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research (SDC).

According to a memorandum of understanding signed yesterday, the SDC will be established on the campus of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing next year.

The center will focus on research in areas such as clean energy, biotechnology, nanotechnology, communication, and agriculture. Special emphasis will be placed on energy and environmental issues.
