The Netherlands is a small, but international country. In the past few years, Dutch higher education has attracted tens of thousands of talented students worldwide.

"Studying in the Netherlands is becoming more popular nowadays in China," said a student who is looking for study opportunities in the Netherlands during the China Education Expo 2008, which was held in Beijing on October 18-19.

According to the latest statistics from the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in higher education (Nuffic), in the Hague, the number of international students enrolled in all government-sponsored programs at Dutch universities for the 2007-08 academic year was 70,000, of whom about 6,000 were Chinese.
