PM 'won't resign'

Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat said he won't resign, resisting calls from army chief Anupong Paojinda to quit following deadly clashes between police and protesters 10 days ago.

"I will continue to work hard for the public," Somchai said in Bangkok with the leaders of five coalition partners at his side. "I have to consider the benefits of the public."
