World-famous American violinist Hilary Hahn will be featured tonight as part of the Beijing Music Festival.
The Grammy-winning musician will join the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) to play Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major, Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet Suite and Canadian composer Jeffrey Ryan's The Linearity of Light.
Hahn, 28, is one of the most compelling artists on the international music scene. Famed for her intellectual and emotional maturity, she was named "America's Best" young classical musician by Time magazine in 2001 and appears on a regular basis with the world's great orchestras in Europe, Asia, and North America.
