Women to power progress

DEAUVILLE, France: More than 1,200 delegates from 86 countries are attending the fourth global meeting of the Women's Forum for the Society at this small town in northern France.
"Our theme for 2008 is particularly appropriate for the crisis: Progress to share, Future to dare. All over the world, women - and men - are hit by this historic crisis are here to implement this concept of progress so as to provide a different vision of our world and economy." Aude Ziesniss de Thuin, founder of the women's forum, said.
For three days, the forum will attempt to create scenarios of the future in three main areas: The individual, work and society; life sciences and technologies; the international scene.
