Court throws out man's dubious money-box claim

Xiuwu County People's Court threw out a lawsuit filed by a man against a local waste collector in Jiaozuo, Henan province, last Wednesday.

Wang Xiaomeng, an accountant in a local village, took a waste collector to court after his wife accidentally sold her a paper box in which Wang said he had placed 20,000 yuan ($2,900). Wang's wife did not know the box contained banknotes when she sold it to Li Gang in June.
