Southern comfort

It's been a while since I last tasted such delicious and well-presented Cantonese foods. Although the dishes might seem a bit "traditional", Jingtai Palace (景泰宫) has joined my list of the better restaurants in town.
The decoration is a combination of Chinese and Western styles, comfortable, and not fancy. The cuisine features mainly Cantonese foods, but also some popular Sichuan choices.
Crispy chicken (脆皮鸡), a common Cantonese dish, fits its name with its crisp skin and tasty flesh. Sauteed beef filet with black pepper sauce (黑椒牛柳粒) comes in a beautiful bamboo net. Baked turbot with vanilla (香草烤多宝鱼) tastes extremely tender. Spicy prawn Sichuan style (香辣虾) is a lovely twist of the common Cantonese seafood.
