Lovebirds steal handbags to fund lavish wedding

A pair of young lovers from Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, were jailed for robbing women of their handbags in a bid to raise money for a lavish wedding ceremony scheduled for Oct 1.

After quarreling with Li over the need to have a lavish wedding, Liu Jun, decided to raise money in a spate of robberies to satisfy his wife-to-be.
