Fake monk busted seeking lonely alms
A monk recently went to the courtyard of the Wenshang county Party committee in Shandong province to collect pious alms.
Employees of the county's religious affairs bureau happened to be in the courtyard and suspected him as a fake - for monks are not permitted to collect alms alone under regulations of the China Buddhist Association.
