Confucius in Africa

A conference on the development of Confucius Institutes in Africa was held yesterday in Beijing to promote Chinese language teaching in these countries.

Organized by the Chinese Language Council International, more than 30 teachers and education officials from 13 African countries attended the conference. There are 271 Confucius Institutes in 77 countries and regions across the world.
