16 nabbed for mine blast
Police have arrested nine people and detained seven others in connection with a mine blast that killed 37 in central Henan province on Sept 21, local authorities said yesterday.
The arrested included the investor, main boss and seven people in charge of safety, technology, facilities and production at the Xinfeng No 2 Coal Mine of Dengfeng city, a Dengfeng People's procuratorate official said.
