Blast kills troops

The US-led coalition says three of its soldiers have been killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan. A spokesman for the coalition said the attack happened on Monday but did not say where. The nationalities of the dead soldiers have not been released.

This year has been the bloodiest for foreign troops in Afghanistan since US-led forces ousted the Taleban in 2001.
