Area begins service-oriented government

Examination, tracking and approval of business applications over the Internet are part of the service now offered by the local government of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA).

Its online examination and approval management system has been in use for two months. Enterprises can log on to the website and relay information related to construction, municipal administration, environmental protection, human resources, social security and safety.

The system reflects the local government's push to improve its service levels. It is also a new start to digital governmental administration and services to accelerate development and promote sharing of information.
