Echoes of a great past

The Echoes from the Great Pyramid Era exhibition displays 150 replicas of cultural relics and visual art pieces from Egypt. A highlight of the "Meet in Beijing" cultural activities, the show offers a glimpse into Egypt's long history, art and culture, which have developed from a prosperous agricultural civilization.

The exhibits include dozens of oil paintings, watercolors, sculptures, ceramics, traditional costumes and wall hangings, which give full expression to the vigor and creativity of Egypt's modern art and culture. Participating artists include Tamer Asem, Naser Wagdy, Mohamed Al Tarawy and Mamdoh Al Kosify.

The replicas include a set of four ceramic slabs decorated with geometrical and flower patterns, a linen textile piece and many sculptures.
