Work on railway starts
Construction of a major railway connecting Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province, with Chongqing municipality began on Friday.
The 820-km, double-line electric railway, co-invested by the Railway Ministry, Gansu and Sichuan provinces and Chongqing, is expected to open to traffic in 2014.
