Liu spots a comeback

China's world 110m hurdles world champion Liu Xiang (right) and his coach Sun Haiping work out at Xinzhuang training base, Shanghai, yesterday. It was Liu's first public training session since he pulled out of the preliminaries at the Beijing Olympic Games due to an inflammation of his Achilles' tendon.

"Everything has passed and what I'm expecting now is to fully recover soon," Liu said.

Liu is focused on physical training but can only run slowly. He will receive a consultation in Beijing before going to the United States for further treatment.
