The Guangdong provincial government is doing its best to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) overcome their financing difficulties.
The southern province, which borders Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, may have to raise more than 2 trillion yuan to financially support SMEs this year.
The province has become home to a great number of SMEs. Involved in a wide range of industries like beverage production, telecom, IT and electronic equipment manufacturing, SMEs have played an increasingly important role in Guangdong's economic development in recent years.
