Soul of old Shanghai

One of the liveliest nightspots in Beijing is posh and chic Suzie Wong, located next to Chaoyang Park.

This Saturday, Suzie Wong will host its annual "qipao party," where female guests sport the elegant fitted dresses that first became popular in swinging 1920s Shanghai.

The event is at once a party and a fashion show. Ladies in qipaos and men in Chinese tunic suits can step back in time to enjoy "one night in old Shanghai".
