No Berbatov and Keane, Spurs are struggling

China Daily | Updated: 2008-09-19 08:08

LONDON: Tottenham manager Juande Ramos said his struggling team needed time to gel following the departures of strikers Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane.

Despite spending almost 70 million pounds ($101 million) on new players during the close-season, Spurs are rooted to the foot of the table with one point from four games.

Spurs were booed off the pitch following their 2-1 home defeat against Aston Villa on Monday, and Ramos said his side needed time to gel.
