By Xie Chuanjiao | China Daily | Updated: 2008-09-19 07:42

The State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) on Wednesday cancelled all national inspection exemptions previously given to food producers.

It said the decision was taken to enhance supervision over food producers, ensure food safety and protect the interests of consumers.
