Forest fire casualties rise
A total of 172 people died or were injured in forest fires in the first eight months of this year, up more than 70 percent on the same period of last year, the State Forestry Administration said yesterday.
More than 12,500 fires occurred in the period, a 52 percent increase year-on-year.
