Sanctions 'pointless'
Any state which decides to impose sanctions on Russia over its conflict with Georgia will suffer symmetric losses, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said yesterday.
"It is pointless to apply pressure on the Russian Federation with the help of sanctions," Medvedev told a business conference.
